I really enjoy making dynamic and playful work.

As a lover of dynamic creative expression and being a very spatially aware person motion graphics were so easy to fall in love with and a place I am always learning and stretching my skills. I started by learning how to use AfterEffects in design school and in the last couple of years have learned more about the fundamentals of animation. Animation whether its subtle or loud and boisterous can really elevate a design and add that extra surprise and delight or just make a design that much more eye catching. Plus it’s fun!

These are a few of my favorite self-initiated projects I have made over the years. Some of the animation techniques and effects I have used like in the snake, blooming flowers, and single line motion graphics are the simple trim paths effect. With the “Isn’t it more fun” and butterfly motion graphics, I worked with position and orientation in 3D space. For the crystal ball and moon motion graphics I used the optic compensation and turbulent displace effects. The “Psst… I like you.” motion graphic, I used a lot of masks and layering of pre-compositions. And that motion graphic was inspired from a kinetic pop-up book I designed and produced on a laser cutter my final year in design school.
